How many trips to the Chateau have you done?
We’ve been to the Château six times.
What was the main objective for your groups trip?
The main objective of our trip to Château du Baffy was to develop the students’ cultural capital and knowledge of France. This provided an invaluable opportunity for immersion in French culture and language, allowing students to apply their French knowledge in real-life situations and gain a positive, enriching experience.
Why did you choose Select for your trip?
Our group had so many favorite things about Château du Baffy that it’s hard to choose! The accommodation was fantastic, with enclosed grounds perfect for students to play football/ explore and wear off some energy! Its location was ideal, serving as an excellent base for exploration without long coach rides each day and being close to the port. The food was outstanding, with students never feeling hungry, and the teachers appreciated the elevated version of meals, enjoying three courses every night. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. The trips offered a huge variety of activities, from enjoying caramels and visiting the goat farm and Bayeux market to the WWII visits which were very meaningful. In sum, a great trip with a huge variety of things to do to keep students engaged!
What was your experience of working with Select for this trip?
Our experience working with Select is always very positive. Sarah is fantastic, friendly, and supportive throughout the process. The Select team promptly answered all emails, ensuring smooth communication with no issues whatsoever.
If you were to recommend our Château to another school, how would you describe your experience?
If I were to recommend Château du Baffy to another school, I would describe our experience as FANTASTIC! Running a school trip can be challenging with so many responsibilities as a teacher, but Select makes the process as straightforward as possible. The team and the château continue the excellent service once you arrive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
From a teachers perspective, what did you like best about our Château?
From a teacher’s perspective, what I liked best about Château du Baffy was the excellent accommodation. We always ensure each teacher has their own room to relax in the evenings. The food was great, and I appreciated that the journeys to each destination were short. The château’s secluded and enclosed location was particularly reassuring, as it meant we didn’t need to worry about students in the evening.
